If you are reading this then you probably haven’t seen this movie. Well actually there is a chance that you are just reading this cas its just here lol. Inception – Probably the most mind boggling sci-fi action thriller of 2010. Some found it……well confusing. Some walked out the cinema with just about every last one of their brain cells frazzled! Some felt the need to go straight back in and watch the film all the way from the start again! While a small minority must have felt proud that that convoluted movie didn’t turn them mad.
Commercial spy Dom Cobb – yes, the famous Leonardo DiCaprio, enters the subconscious and steals valuable information from where the mind is at its most vulnerable (that’s when the target is asleep). Cobb is the best at this. He really is! Although his talent has made him a sought after man in this treacherous world of spies, it has also made him a worldwide fugitive. This has cost him everything. His life….his wife…..his family. But he has a chance! The one job could give him the life he always wanted back…. However only if he can accomplish what was thought to be impossible - inception.
But Dom is able to exploit his skills to his advantage! Dom finds just the guy – Satio. Because his mad wife had framed him for her death, he was a wanted man. They once lived in a dream, but they realised that the world they lived in wasn’t quite what it seemed. He and his wife killed themselves. But still, Mal (Dom’s wife) was convinced that it was all a dream. But she couldn’t have been anymore wrong. She committed suicide and lived only as a memory inside the mind of Dom Cobb. Satio promised, that in return for entering Robert Fischer Junior’s head and making him sell his Father’s business, he will make it possible for Dom to return to the US – and more importantly, return to his children…
Dom comes up with the idea of generating a series of dreams, within dreams, within dreams and so on. So far, until Mr. Fischer actually believes he came up with the idea himself!
But then has Cobb fallen too deep into the dream….? The one question is, when he finally gets back to his kids what is real, and what is the dream…..?
Actually, I think that you misunderstood the bit at the end with the spinning top.
ReplyDeleteHe had got back to where he started. The world from which he entered the dream to make an inception but the spinning top was to make you think that maybe his wife had the right idea.
Right thanks! (I'm still cOnFusED)
